We have an announcement to make.  Scott Field is our most recent hotel room giveaway winner after correctly answering the last contest question about the two newest Extended Stay Hotels properties.  The answers were Juneau, Alaska and Fairbanks, Alaska.  Congratulations, Scott!  We hope you find the free night hotel stay useful in your travels.

Speaking of new hotels, two more hotels have been added to the Extended Stay Hotels brand and they both located in Chesapeake, VA.  They were formerly Suburban Lodges and will become Extended Stay America properties.  So if you're looking for a place to stay in Virginia, check out these new additions.  More on this expansion of hotel properties can be found at HotelBusiness.com.

Thanks for reading and keep your eye out for the next Road Warrior Tips contest!

Hotel Contest: What's New at ESH?

March 21, 2006 | Permalink | Comments (3) | TrackBack

Welcome to Contest #2!  Read the following information carefully; there will be a quiz.  No really, there will.  In fact, a correct answer to the quiz can earn you a free night’s stay at the Extended Stay Hotels property of your choice.

Extended Stay Hotels would like to introduce the newest addition to its accommodation offerings; Ottawa.  So if you’re headed up to this Canadian capitol, there’s a new place to stay.  The hotel is located in downtown Ottawa, not far from the Byward Market, Parliament, and a wide array of museums such as the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, Canadian War Museum, and National Aviation Museum.  The hotel offers valuable features for business trips or vacations, including wireless internet access and full suites.  Most rooms also have their own balcony.

With Spring coming up, it’s a great time to head up north to this new Ottawa hotel.  With warmer weather comes a selection of entertaining festivals, such as the Canadian Tulip Festival, Ottawa Marathon, the Nortel Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival, and the International Jazz Festival.  And if you’re in town for business, the hotel is not far from the major convention centers in the area.

Okay, I hope you absorbed all that.  Here’s the question:

You just heard about the latest property, expanding ESH’s offerings into Canada.  In addition to this, what are the other two hotels that have also been added under the Extended Stay Hotels umbrella most recently?  Hint: The Extended Stay Hotels website may be able to help.

As usual, the "Terms and Conditions" section below will let you know the rules of the contest.  Please enter accordingly.  Good luck!

Welcome back from Thanksgiving weekend!  I hope it was relaxing and enjoyable.  Now it's time for the big push of work before the end of the year.  But it's also time for a little fun.  Therefore, we've put together a little quiz to see how observant a road warrior you are.

Contest

If you're like many business travelers and attend quite a few conferences over the course of the year, you get to a point where you could navigate the convention floor blindfolded.  So let's put this knowledge to the test.  Can you name the cities that are home to these convention venues?

And since this is the season of giving, the first person to add a comment to this post with all the right answers (only one guess per person and please use a valid email address) will win one complementary night stay to use during their next visit to an Extended Stay Hotels property.
